Why are we re-making a music video?
The purpose of re-making Justin Timberlake's music video is to understand how a music video works. From this re-make and my research will develop my understanding of the different shot types, cuts and how many cuts occur as there are usually more cuts in a music video than a film depending on the genre. Taking into consideration shot types, the rule of thirds has taught me how to align a type of shot and how the framing of a shot is very important. Furthermore, this re-make has helped me to understand that many takes of each shot/scene is required as there will be many different shot types within the music video and a wide range of clips make the editing process easier as well as, a better quality final video.
